How hard is it to pass
my G.C.S.E's?

Why doesn't learning make sense for every GCSE student?

Because too many students believe they are the problem, when the real issue is that learning hasn’t been explained in a way that works for them.

Hey I'm Emma

I’m a secondary supply teacher, working across multiple schools in Devon and Cornwall.

You can check me out through my recommendations on LinkedIn

I step into different classrooms every week, and I hear the same sentence again and again:

“I just don’t get it.”

Most of the time, they understand the content in lessons.

But they haven’t been shown in a way that works for them, how to retain that knowledge and apply it in a way that the examiners expect.

Often this includes not knowing how to:

- slow things down

- make sense of what they know simply

- connect ideas clearly

- apply their understanding in writing under time constraints in exams

So when exam pressure hits, confidence drops and the marks don’t reflect what students are actually capable of.

That’s why we are building this completely free and accessible GCSE exam-skills platform that helps students understand exactly what and how to revise and then apply it in their actual exams to get the marks they deserve.

But we need your support to get the first stage up and running in time for this year's students!

Lessons taught

As I am fortunate enough to work across multiple secondary schools across Devon and Cornwall,          I see the same challenges face students week after week. Working in Supply requires me to think on my feet every single lesson, explaining concepts and techniques across the curriculum clearly, simply and efficiently, to students with a wide range of learning styles and abilities.

20m

Minutes preparations

Every morning when I arrive I have on average 20 minutes to grasp the lesson content for five lessons plus a tutor group, which naturally has sharpened my ability to be able to quickly identify what the objectives are, understand how they fit within the curriculum and decide how best to explain it to a class of 23 students.

10x

The number of pupils taught vs a Contracted Teacher

Supply teaching means regularly working with new pupils across multiple schools, rather than the same groups in one setting. That breadth of pupil contact

and the required adaptability, reveals the clear, recurring patterns of where learning breaks down. Patterns that may be less visible when teaching the same group of students repeatedly. Patterns that  consistently highlight how often the issue is rarely pupil ability or classroom learning, but implementation and the students self esteem.

This platform exists to reassure students that they have "Got this" rebuild confidence bridge the gap between knowledge and implementation and help them turn their understanding into confident exam performance and the grades they want.
